    Waymon Scott, age 79, of Mount Ida, AR, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
    He was born on March 14, 1936, in Mount Ida, the son of Lon and Myrtle Scott. On June 16, 1956 he was married to Patricia Singleton.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Rachelle Scott and his sister, Bernice Key.
    Waymon’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    He was a member of the Pencil Bluff First Baptist Church.
    He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Scott of Mount Ida; two daughters and son-in-laws, Tamara and Delbert Parnell of Pencil Bluff, AR and Latresa and Horace Lawrence of Oden, AR; one son, Russell Hurley of McAlester, OK; four granddaughters, Brittany and Joe Quinn of Mena, AR, Kristen and Jacob Thew of Mount Ida, Deidra Lawrence of Oden and Morgan Lawrence of Oden; four great-grandchildren, Paige Quinn, Gage Davis, Carson Lawrence and Tatum Thew; his brother, Leon Scott of Greenville, TX; his sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Leo Howton of Greenville, TX; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

    A visitation will be held Monday, September 21 5-8 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, September 22 2:00 p.m. at the Pencil Bluff First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Pencil Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers: Russell Hurley, Paul La Caze, Pete Quinn, Charles Stanley, Michael Stone and Billy Summit Honorary Pallbearers: Pierre Allaine, Richard Childress, Bob Fryar, Heidee Jackson, Tommy Johnston and the Montgomery County Nursing Home.
